Player Registration [for Players and Parents/Guardians]

Players and teams will not be allowed to play for the club unless they are registered in line with the FAI and league association requirements.
Players and their parents/guardians are required to complete and return all registration forms and any other association requirements (e.g. NDSL ID cards) as and when they are requested by the club.

Player Fees - Membership/Registration [for Players and Parents/Guardians]

The memberships are payable as a once off or over 4 monthly instalments.
The fees cover the insurance fees, training equipment, general club running costs, astro rental from Dublin City Council for training and home games (where applicable), payment of league registrations, payment of referees and other related costs. All fees have been set by the Committee at a level that attempts to cover all costs and is more affordable than other clubs in the surrounding areas.
All players must pay the membership fees in order to train or play. If a player’s registration fees has not been paid when they fall due, they will not be allowed play for the Club.
For families with two or more children in the club, a 50% discount is applied to the registration fee for each additional child.

Child Welfare [for Parents/Guardians]

Each child’s welfare and safety is of paramount importance to the club and comes before anything else.

Child abuse can include neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse or bullying (based on gender identity, sexual preference, race, ethnicity and religious factors).
If a parent/guardian suspects any form of child abuse, they are responsible for reporting their concerns immediately to the team’s coach/manager or to the club’s Children’s Officer as may be appropriate.

Garda Vetting & Child Safeguarding Course [for Parents/Guardians]

If you wish to volunteer with your child’s team, you will need to be Garda Vetted and to attend an FAI Safeguarding course before dealing with persons under the age of 18.
All Garda Vetting forms will be dealt with by the club’s Child Welfare Officer and will be stored securely and confidentially.

Health & Safety [for Players and Parents/Guardians]

Injuries (all players, except for Seniors): Any injury requiring hospital and/or physio treatment must be reported to the team managers straight away. The club will pay: Public hospital charges of €100.00, which will be reimbursed to the player once a receipt is provided to the club. Private clinic costs will need to be covered by the player and is not the responsibility of the club. The first two visits to the nominated club physio, after which the player is responsible for all fees. All players who pay their registration fee for the season are covered under the club’s insurance policies.
Injuries & insurance (Seniors): All registered players are required to pay and join the Leinster Senior League’s group insurance scheme in order to play. For any queries regarding Leinster Senior League insurance, please contact the Senior Secretary.

Training and Match Attendance [for Players and Parents/Guardians]: By being part of a team, each player is providing a commitment to attend all training and matches. All players must arrive on time. In the event a player cannot attend, the player or parent/guardian must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to the team manager.

Team Gear – Junior teams [for Players and Parents/Guardians]

The club will provide each team with a full set of match jerseys at the beginning of each season.
All players must (1) buy the official red socks and black shorts with the crest from the club’s online store, (2) bring all match-day gear to each match, (3) adhere to the manager’s requirements regarding washing and maintenance of gear and (4) notify the manager of any lost or damaged gear immediately.
All other team gear (e.g. training tops, tracksuits, bags, etc.) can be ordered directly by parents/guardians and/or players using the club’s online store. For queries, please contact the Club’s Kit Officers.
The Club is not responsible for providing any gear to Junior teams other than jerseys (see above). However, the Club is committed to allocating funds generated through fundraising and sponsorship towards gear for teams who are directly involved in such fundraising and sponsorship.

Sponsorship [for Parents/Guardians]: The club relies on sponsorship to cover the cost of team match kits. Players, parents/guardians and volunteers are encouraged to help the club source new sponsors.

Fundraising [for Players and Parents/Guardians]: The club relies on fundraising to survive. The club will arrange fundraising events for the club throughout the year and will look for participation and involvement from players and parents/guardians. It is the club’s policy that those who get involved will receive benefits so no participation in events means no benefits from fundraising events.

Transport: The team manager is responsible for organising transport to and from away games, through help from parents/guardians of players or use of public transport. All transport costs must be covered by players or the players’ parents/guardians.

Data Protection

As part of its relationship with you, the club processes a limited amount of your personal data. This processing is carried out in accordance with the club’s data protection legislation obligations and as detailed in the club’s privacy statement which is available on the club’s website.
From time to time, the club may also wish to use information, images and/or video footage from or about club activities in order to promote the club to the local area through social media or other marketing mediums. In this regard, we seek your consent for us to use your personal data for this purpose. The personal data will only be shared with third parties involved in the promotional activities, such as the club’s photographer/videographer or social media service providers. The data will not be used for any other purposes. A consent request is attached for your completion.

Player Code of Conduct

As a player, I will:

Respect opponents, officials, and all people connected with the club at all times
Make every honest effort to develop my sporting ability, to include fitness, skill, technique and tactical ability.
Set a positive example for other players and supporters.
Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid violence and rough play, and where possible help injured opponents.
Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during each game.
Avoid all forms of gamesmanship, and time wasting.
Refrain from using inappropriate language.
Make every effort consistent with fair play and the laws of the game to help my team win.
Accept victory and defeat equally.
Not consume banned substances.
Accept the decisions of the match officials without protest.
Not incite or encourage supporters to act in a way that may endanger the safety of anyone attending or participating in the game.
Not either directly or indirectly place a bet on the outcome of any game in which I am involved.
In making public comments on a particular fixture or on the game in general, I will be mindful of upholding and promoting the good name of the game and others involved in it in the wider community

Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

As a parent/guardian, I will:

Encourage and praise, or else be quiet.
Always respect the match officials’ decisions.
Remain off the field of play or training area at all times.
Watch the match or training from within the designated spectators’ areas.
Let the coach do their job and do not confuse the players by telling them what to do.
Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour. This will not be tolerated in any way by the club.
Notify the coach and/or the club’s Children Officer if I suspect any form of child abuse to my child or another child. Child abuse can include neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse or bullying (based on gender identity, sexual preference, race, ethnicity and religious factors).
Support the coach’s decisions and discuss any concerns directly with the coach.

If parents/guardians do not follow the Code of Conduct, action may be taken by the club, league or National Association.
